Pike County Emergency Management has unique challenges serving Kentucky's largest, and most mountainous county. The area has been throttled by severe storms and flooding. In partnership, Pike County and MapSync have developed tools and workflows to better prepare for, and respond to, emergencies and catastrophes. Most recently, in July 2010, during severe flooding, Pike County Emergency Management utilized XG EM Suite in its response efforts.

Hardin County Water District #2View Details
Understanding the benefits of digitizing its water information, Hardin County Water District #2, who serves over 45,000 customers, ventured in 2002 with MapSync guidance, to GPS map its entire water system. Since that time HCWD2 has continued to improve and make daily use of its water utility GIS, outfitting nine fleet vehicles with mobile mapping, and additional licenses of XG Reader on desktops for management, office personnel, water treatment plant, CSRs; and transmission and distribution personnel.
Elizabethton Electric DepartmentView Details
In 2008 Elizabethton Electric contracted with MapSync to provide a complete turn-key GIS solution. The effort required MapSync and its partners to map over 20,000 electric poles, transformers, and other features, which it did over a condensed span of about eight months. By early 2009 EED had a functioning GIS which it continues to maintain and benefit from, with MapSync guidance when needed.
