I made a quick video that demonstrates how the new batch selection works. You can access it here.
How is it done...? It's a three step process:
1. Create the map grid,
2. Set up the "Data Driven Pages" in ArcMap
3. Print
I made a video explaining each step. The video can be accessed here.
Easy way to export CAD files from GIS Data in ArcMap
Since the vast majority of water, wastewater, stormwater, electric and gas utility designs are done in CAD, not GIS software, it is often important to be able to export your GIS data as CAD data. This can be done in a variety of ways.
Probably the most common is to import the GIS data directly into a CAD package that has that capability (AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Map, Bently InRoads, etc.). Since many GIS users don’t have CAD software, an alternative to this is to export your GIS data to CAD from within ArcGIS. I recently created a video that shows how this can be done.
