Layout View (Print Map)

To activate: View Menu

The GeoSync Layout View is equipped with multiple functions to allow for printing of maps at varied scales and sheet sizes.

To use:

1. Activate Layout View.

2. The Layout Setup dialog appears. Select map orientation (portrait or landscape).  To change other printer options such as paper size, select Modify.

3. Select a Title Block Template if desired.

4. Select OK.

5. The Map View becomes the Layout View.

6. Use the zoom tools to select the area to print.

Print Options:

• From the Layout View Toolbar, enter a print scale value and press Enter (on keyboard). The layout view changes to display the map at the entered scale.  

• Use the Zoom Factor to select how large the layout view appears on the screen relative to its real print size.

• Select a Border Size which frames the map image.

• If using a Title Block Template, edit the template text by selecting Edit Layout from the Edit menu. Select a container (text box, legend, etc...) to edit and select Edit Selected. Save template if desired.

• Turn layers on and off and edit Symbol Settings from the Layer Legend.

7. Select the Print icon to print map.
