To activate: Layer Manager / Layer Options / Show Symbol...

Rendering is the color coding of map features according to values in a user specified field. The rendering tool automatically assigns colors to map features. Individual colors can then be changed.

To use:

1. Open Layer Manager.

2. Select layer to be rendered.

3. Under Layer Options, select Show Symbol....

4. The Layer Symbol Properties dialog opens. Select the Value Renderer tab.

5. Select a field under Field Name. All Unique Values from that field will appear in the Unique Values list box.

6. Check Render On Load to configure GeoSync to display the rendering when ever the project is opened.

Note: To Save rendering settings, select Save before closing Layer Symbol Properties dialog. Save Project.

To change individual colors and size:

1. Select the desired value from the Unique Values list box.

2. Its current color appears below. Click on the color.

3. Select desired color from the palette.  

4. Select a different size if desired.

5. Select Apply.

To remove a rendering:

1. Remove check from Renderer On.

2. Save Project.
