Many Layer Tools can be performed on a Selection Set In GeoSync, a group of selected features from a single layer. A selection set can be defined by manually selecting features on the map view, or by performing a query with quick search or SQL expression.. By using the tool on a set rather than the entire layer, the user can better control how the tool effects his/her data while saving the time it takes for a process to run through an entire layer's data.
To use:
Select the Layer Tool to be used.
With the Layer Tools still open, select features on the map using a selection tool, Quick Search, SQL Expression, or Find Road Address.
Run the Layer Tool.
