Layer Groups

To activate: Layer Manager / Layer Options

Layer Groups are displayed below the Toolbars and above the Map View on the GeoSync main interface.  Layer Groups are used to group related layers, and allow for quicker location of layers in order to turn their visibility on and off or make a layer current. Create and modify Layer Groups from the Layer Groups dialog.

To use:

1. Open Layer Manager.

2. Activate Layer Groups dialog.

3. Layer Group Manager opens.

Alternately, open the Layer Group Manager by clicking on the Layer Group name on the Toolbar.

With the Layer Group Manager open, the following options are available:

• Create Group

• Remove Layer - Select a layer group from the top margin of the dialog, then select the layer (from the list box below Layer) and select Remove Layer.

• Add Layer to Group

• Remove Layer from Group - Select desired layer group, then select the layer from the lower list box, and then select Add Layer.
