Render a particular attribute field from a layer as labels on the map.
To use:
Open Layer Manager
Activate the Symbol Properties dialog
Select the Label Renderer tab
Setup the rendering scheme:
Select the Anno Field to render (the field in the layer which contains the information you want displayed on the map).
Select desired Font from the Fonts drop-down list.
Specify a Text Height in the Font Size field or check Use Height Field and then select the appropriate field from Height Field.
Check the Allow Duplicates box to allow for labels with duplicate information to appear on the map.
Check the Draw Background box to leave the feature as well as the label on the map. Without the Draw Background box checked the feature being labeled does not appear on the map as long as the label renderer is on.
Check the Spline box and the label will follow the orientation of the feature.
Optionally:
Check Use Rotation Fld and select the appropriate field from Rotation drop-down box. GeoSync will use values from the selected field to determine the rotation angle of a label.
Specify a Horizontal Alignment and Vertical Alignment which designates where the feature is to lie in relation to its label.
Check the Use Offsets box, the select the appropriate fields from the XOFF and YOFF fields. The offset values determine how far and in what direction labels are placed from their features.
Check the Render on Load so the labels will appear when the project is reopened.
Check the Renderer On box.
Select Apply
Select OK to finish.
