Current Layer Control

To activate: Layer Legend, or Layer Groups

A layer must be made current before most actions are performed dealing with that particular layer or features therein. For example, before drawing on the Roads layer, the Roads layer must be made current.

The following tools are current layer specific:

• SQL Expression

• Edit Layer / Draw Tools

• Selection tools

• Zoom Layer

To use:

From the Layer Legend:

1. Select a layer from the Layer Legend, by clicking on or near its name or symbol, to make it current.  Note: Clicking on the check box turns a layer's visibility on / off.

2. GeoSync displays the current layer in red above the Layer Legend.

From the Layer Groups:

1. Select a layer group by clicking on the down-arrow next to the group name.

2. Select desired layer from the drop-down list.
