Configuration File (Layer Options)

For more, see Layer Manager

To activate: Layer Manager / Layer Options / Set up Data Sources

Layer Options are predefined attribute values made available to the GeoSync user when entering or editing Feature Attribute Data in either the Identify tool dialog, Selection Report, or PVA Explorer. These options are accessed from a drop-down list in the applicable field.

Attach a configuration file to a layer and / or any of a layer's attached external database tables. In version 3, GeoSync stores layer options in the project database file and not in a separate text file (except in those cases where  PVA Explorer is being utilized).

To use:

  1. Open Layer Manager.

  2. Select desired layer from the list.

  3. Open Set Up Data Sources under Layer Options.

  4. Select desired tab (ie Shape, Char...).

  5. Scroll down to Config File and click on far right side of field.

  6. In the Configuration Options dialog, select the desired Field Name.

  7. If prompted, select yes to create options.

  8. Add or Delete options.
