Photo Map Tip

To activate: Toolbar, or View menu

Display images attached to a layer (Shapefile) on the map view with a map tip. The field must be called Photo_ID (Field Data Type: String)

Note: The Photo Map Tip uses the photo path specified in Settings and must be set properly before using a Photo Map Tip.

To use:

1. On the tool bar, select Map Tips. A drop-down list appears.

2. Select desired photo map tip.

3. Move the pointer to the map view and hover over desired feature to reveal photo map tip image.

 Note:  The Photo_ID field must include the name of the photo

Create a Photo Map Tip

To activate: Settings

To use:

1. Open Project Settings. Select Map Tips tab

2. Select Add.

3. Enter a name for the new photo map tip and select OK.

4. Click on the right side of the blank field next to Tip Layer to access a drop-down list of the project's layers.

5. Choose desired layer from list.

6. Click on the right side of the blank field next to Tip Field to access a drop-down list of the selected layers fields.

7. Choose the Photo_ID field from the list.

8. Select Apply and OK to close the Settings dialog.
