Create Query Layer in GeoDatabase

For more, see  Geodatabase, Add New Geodatabase Layer

To activate:

The Query provides the link between the Geodatabase and the GeoSync software.  Queries allow the user to view and analyze data in different ways.

To use:

  1. Create a New Query using the same name identified in the QUERY_NAME field of the Layer_Names table.

  2. Add the new layer table (Parcels – for example) and the Metadata table to the Query Design.

  3. Join the tables added to the Query Design by MUID.

  4. Select the Join Type where all of the records of the new table are included and only those records from the Metadata where the joined fields are equal.

  5. Add the mandatory fields from the new table to the query.  Mandatory fields are listed in the Create New Point Layer, Create New Line Layer, or Create New Polygon Layer Help Topics.

  6. Add any user-defined fields that were also added to the new table.

  7. Also add the following (required) fields from the Metadata table:

LAST_UPDT

ATT_SOURCE

XY_SOURCE

The database is now ready to have data imported into the table from the GeoSync Export to Geodatabase tool.  Once the layer has been imported back into GeoSync, the user is now working with the GeoDatabase layer.
