Split Polygon

To activate: (in Edit Layer mode) Toolbar

Split an existing polygon feature into multiple polygon features using snaps as beginning and end split points.

To use:

1. Select polygon feature to be split.

2. Activate Split Polygon tool.

3. Set Snap Type.

4. Move pointer to desired location on polygon to begin split.

5. Box appears to indicate snap is engaged. Click to begin cut line.

6. Move pointer to desired end point of cut line.

7. Box appears to indicate snap is engaged. Click to finish split.

Note: The split tool consists of a beginning and an end point. For splits that require interior breaks/vertices, see Add Vertex and Move Vertex.
