To view the deed boundary, click on the View tab; the View dialog displays.

The View tab

The current deed boundary will be displayed graphically on the form. The corners will appear as black circles and the boundary lines will appear as solid black lines. If the deed has a significant closure error then a dashed line will appear showing the changes made in the last call by the area calculation. The calculated area encompasses the boundary defined by this dashed line.

  • Zooming - The user can enlarge or reduce the boundary view by selecting Zoom-In, Zoom-Out, or Zoom-All as your Zoom option. To Zoom-In or Zoom-Out, select the desired option from the menu and click on a point on the displayed boundary you wish to enlarge or reduce. Zoom-All will restore the original boundary view. The user can adjust the zoom factor by adjusting the slide tool. A zoom Factor of 2.0 means that the viewing area changes by a factor of 2, either doubling or halving, as the user zooms in or out.

  • Highlighting - To highlight a particular deed call on the displayed boundary, double click on the deed call in the description list box. The selected call will be displayed as a red line on the displayed boundary.

  • Curves - Curves will show up as dashed red lines. Chords are represented as solid black lines just like all other deed calls.
