Enter Deed Example

To enter deed information:

 

 

  1. Start DeedRunner using the Startup Instructions.
  2. Click the Deed Information tab to display the dialog:



    The Deed Information tab
    1. Use the mouse to set the focus in the Grantee text box by clicking on the box and type SOMEBODY.
    2. Repeat the process typing the following:
      • Grantor = NOBODY
      • Date = 12-12-1994
      • Deed Book = 100
      • Page Number = 485
      • County = Fayette
      • State = KY enter deed information:
  3. Click the Deed Entry tab to display the Deed Entry dialog.
  4. Use the mouse to set the focus in the N-E entry box by clicking on the box. Type S and click Enter from the keyboard. The focus will change to the DEG entry box. (You can always set the focus in any entry box by clicking on the box with the mouse).
  5. Type 04 and click Enter. The focus will change to the MIN entry box.
  6. Type 35 and click Enter. The focus will change to the SEC entry box.
  7. Type 58 and click EnterThe focus will change to the E-W entry box.
  8. Type W: and click Enter. The focus will change to the Length (FT) entry box.
  9. Type 229.83 (If the length is in units other than feet, use the mouse to select the appropriate units.) and click Enter. The focus will change to the ADD command button.
  10. Cick Enter and the entered deed call will be added (displayed) in the list box of the dialog.
  11. If the distance units are set to units other than feet, the program will convert the distance to feet when it adds the call to the description list box. The focus will change to the N-E entry box.
  12. Repeat the process entering the following calls:

S-16-20-58-E, 324.14

N-74-51-24-E, 258.88

N-19-10-01-W, 86.02

N-15-09-08-W, 165.00

N-11-32-22-W, 145.87

N-68-09-03-W, 239.34

  1. Click on the Calculate tab to determine the Closure (FT) and the Area.
  2. To view the boundary, click the View tab.
  3. To print the boundary information and boundary plot, click on the Print tab. The print options will appear.
  4. To export the boundary information in DXF and create a COGO point file, click on the Export (DXF/COGO) tab. The Export options will appear.
  5. To edit a call, see Editing Deed Calls below.
  6. To save the file, select the Save option from the File menu.
  7. To get help, select the Help menu or select F1.
