DXF/COGO Output

DeedRunner can output deed information in DXF (Drawing Interchange Format) or COGO (Coordinate Geography). To create a DXF or COGO File, click on the Export (DXF/COGO) tab. The DXF/COGO output options will be displayed.

Layer Info - Enter layer names for Boundary Lines and Deed Information. Specify a Text Size.

POB Coordinates (Feet) - Enter coordinates for the Point of Beginning (POB). These Coordinates will be used in the creation of the DXF File. The default coordinates are Northing (10000) and Easting (10000).

Units - Select the units for output.

Create DXF - Prompts for filename and creates a DXF file based on the selected options.

DeedRunner can output calculated coordinates as a comma- or space-delimited text (COGO) file. To Create a COGO File:

  • POB Coordinates - Enter coordinates for the Point of Beginning (POB). These Coordinates will be used in the creation of the COGO File. The default coordinates are Northing (10000) and Easting (10000).
  • Units - Select the units for output.
  • COGO Options - Select the format for the output file, either Point Number Easting, Northing (PT E N) or Point Number Northing, Easting (PT N E). Enter the starting point number (100 is the default).
  • COGO File (Space Del) - Prompts for filename and creates a space-delimited COGO file based on the selected options.
