Some Layer Tools in GeoSync prompt the user to match the fields from one layer to another. In some instances the Source Field and Target Field are spelled identically. While in other cases, differences in spelling requires the user to manually match the source and target field.
Match fields spelled identically in the source and target layers by selecting the double right arrow.
For fields that are not spelled the same, select a layer from the list box on the left (source layer) and the matching layer from the target field on the right. Select the single right arrow. Repeat as required.
Note: There may not be matches for all fields in a source layer. In such an instance, you may need to use the Modify DBF Structure tool to add needed fields to the target layer.
Danger: Any fields not mapped from the source layer to the target layer are lost when the layer tool process is complete.
